Air Transport Publications (ATP) is proud to announce GreenSky — the first international publication dedicated exclusively to aviation and the environment.

Inside the July issue, is a report from the 3rd Aviation & the Environment Summit and a project outline of the Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1000G – the first new generation engine to offer a significant improvement in fuel efficiency. Also inside:

  • Air France declares its commitment to protecting the environment
  • Manchester Airport and how it intends to become carbon neutral by 2015
  • Cargo: how IATA is helping carriers fight back
  • Alternative fuels trials are continuing apace
  • Every little counts: day-to-day improvements at airport
"Congratulations on launching your new publication, Green Sky. It is good to see your organisation leading the industry and making everyone in the aviation industry aware of the environment."
Zaheer Faruqi, President
Aventure International Aviation Services

As the aviation industry comes under increasing pressure to reduce its environmental footprint, Air Transport Publications introduces GreenSky, the first publication to provide regular, authoritative coverage of all the important issues.

Available online and in print GreenSky looks at aircraft, airlines, airports, hangars, maintenance facilities and air traffic control, all of which have their part to play in making aviation more efficient.

Given Air Transport Publications' pedigree in aviation (we also publish MRO Management, Airline Cargo Management and Low Cost & Regional Airline Business), it might be thought that GreenSky will inevitably be in favour of flying but it is our intention to pose all the relevant questions, to report the answers honestly and in as much detail as possible.

At the same time, where there are incongruities and contradictions, we will be seeking explanations.
